My background is in the art business and I am also a great admirer of good architecture.  After I moved to Cambridge, I worked for CMC, a local practice.  I started to attend the CAA meetings to get a more profound understanding of architecture.  I listened to discussions about the Gazette, and made the comment that it would make a bigger impact being in colour. 

After a few days they called me and asked me if I would raise the funds.  It was £2.500 about 10 years ago and I said that I can achieve this.  With the creativity of all the editors, who have produced and are producing an interesting and easy to read publication, which I still manage to sell.  In the process, I have made lots of contacts too.
