We intend to discuss this at the next monthly meeting of the CAA - on Wednesday 7th January 2015. If you would like to voice your opinion, please come along on the 7th, or if you are unable to attend then please email anything you wish to be raised in advance of the meeting - riba.caa@gmail.com.

Cambridge City Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council are jointly preparing an Area Action Plan (AAP) to bring forward the regeneration of the Cambridge Northern Fringe East area, a large brownfield area that will soon see the opening of a proposed new station, planned for 2016. The first stage is consultation on Issues and Options for the AAP.

The Cambridge Northern Fringe East Area Action Plan (CNFE AAP) – Issues and Options Report will help all parties involved (such as business owners, landowners and developers) consider how best to deliver the wider regeneration of this part of Cambridge. The CNFE AAP will support Policy 14 in the draft Cambridge Local Plan 2014 and Policy SS/4 in the draft South Cambridgeshire Local Plan that were submitted for examination in March 2014.

The consultation period for the CNFE Area Action Plan – Issues and Options Report runs for eight weeks to allow for the Christmas period:   9am on 8 December 2014 to 5pm on 2 February 2015

The Issues and Options Report is available for inspection along with relevant supporting documents on the City Council’s website: http://www.cambridge.gov.uk/cambridge-northern-fringe-east-area-action-plan
