Request for information: Roundtable Discussion

RIBA East is looking to approach 6 small scale developers to ask them to take part in a Regional Client roundtable with Stephen Hodder on Thursday 4th June 2015 in Cambridge.

Could you recommend anyone suitable, who is working in the region, who you feel typifies the views of that section of the construction industry – and who would be willing to articulate them?

If so – please let me [Delyth Turner-Harriss] know as soon as possible so that I can approach them.

The Roundtable Discussions: the RIBA has been running a series of roundtable discussions to listen to and understand external perceptions of the architectural profession and the value architects bring to the project team, and ultimately to identify the tools needed to promote architectural services in these sectors successfully.  The President has requested that the client engagement programme should be extended out in the regions, to gather feedback from smaller domestic and property developer clients.

This will be a discussion with 5-10 small scale property developer clients in order to ask them the following questions:

  • How do you view architects and architecture?
  • Where and how can architects add greatest value?
  • What role do you want to see your architects performing?
  • Does your region have a particular challenge / problem (e.g. flooding, low levels of employment) to overcome and how can architects help resolve them?

For more information, please contact Delyth Turner-Harriss, Events and Professional Development Co-ordinator for RIBA East.
